Sun 04:25 video
It’s a place Where shirts have to be on And the place is burned out Inside out People know we’ve come a long way And yet the chemical spreads in every suspect Sun, heat me up When the kids are out And they roll down the same town The day is no longer timed They’re out like you and I Oh sun, heat me up You know them They’ve got love But the ones above have none at all They never did any harm And not the least in their hands Oh sun, heat me up Sun, heat them up
2.
Close my eyes What a psychedelic darkness I remember I was breathing more air in Because I liked the feeling of pins and needles There was no way for me to foresee No way for me to tense my lips No way for me to give in No need for me to be careful Fiery nights Black and purple skies Sit and wait for rocky noises and footsteps Grateful, morning bringer Wanderer, tall love giver

Gloss Trick 04:03
4.
Roses 06:49
Let me pick one of my roses Help me think if to follow your plan or not Stitch the wounds, stop the blood from flowing in your home Widen up, walk in circles but some that widen up Dial up the magic, dial the magic up anytime you want Allow yourself to be the bell tower Make some noise, feel the noise On your body, on your nose Connecting you to the earth
5.
Sandstorm 04:24
Oh it shouldn’t have been me No it shouldn’t have been me Who told her Sandstorm running up my throat Oh it shouldn’t have been me No it shouldn’t have been me who told her It just led to hard bones I was surprised by her body trembling But my arms just didn’t correspond, They weren’t the right response, They weren’t taken anyhow. Sandstorm running up my throat
6.
I take this matter very seriously I’ve come across the same bee three times And saved it from dying Stare at the water and don’t lose your focus Get used to being silenced I take this task very seriously I’ve come across the same bee three times And saved it from dying Stare at the water and don’t lose your focus Get used to being silenced For this kind of matter He is better than me Get used to being silenced
7.
Come on see it in the splendour of confrontation If you don’t serve it, it breaks or it breaks you All yesterday and today I stood clear How incredibly patient he is with me Allow it to come about The more time spent the more it’s ok Dedicating everything you do To someone else Everything you have To someone else Take it, please take it.
8.
Mess 06:51 video
A place, conversations, that fitted each other Like even squares And I was moving between them I was moving in front of them I was moving behind Just shifting We managed To arrange the mess Into the exact same mess Because we knew how important it was for her To find everything in it’s right place
9.
Pool Of Wax 04:30
I had no option but to dive in She threw her key in a pool of wax I had no option but to dive in To dive in I had no option And I reached my arm up You were supposed to grab it You were supposed to take us with you Do you hear me? She threw her key in a pool of wax I had no option but to dive in. Dive in.

about

Camila Fuchs creates experimental electronic pop with spectral vocals and avant-garde sensibilities. Currently based in Lisbon, the project was formed by Camila De Laborde (Mexico City) and Daniel Hermann-Collini (Munich) in London in 2012. The band released their debut album 'Singing From Fixed Rung' in 2016, followed by 2018's 'Heart Pressed Between Stones' on ATP Recordings. Met with international praise, Camila Fuchs has performed at numerous well-regarded festivals including Mutek Mexico, Primavera Sound and All Tomorrow's Parties Festival. They have also supported and shared the stage with Plaid, Actress, Aleksi Perälä, Starcrawler, Charles Hayward, William Basinski, Braids and The Orb.

'Kids Talk Sun' is the duo's third full-length album. It was produced and mixed by Peter Kember (Sonic Boom, Spacemen 3, Spectrum, Experimental Audio Research), whose mixing credits include artists such as Panda Bear, Beach House, Moon Duo and MGMT.

With an imaginative, child-like approach, Camila Fuchs have managed to harness a transformational space of exploration and experimentation. Filled with a youthful sense of wonder, Kids Talk Sun is a meditation on childhood, as well as the exchanges between humans, between humans and nature, and within nature itself. A textural, drumless offering, "Sun" opens the album with a slow-tempo arpeggiation guided by Laborde's transporting voice. The words “heat me up, heat them up” conjures warmth that radiates throughout the album. “There was no way, no need to be careful,” Laborde sings in “Moon Mountain.” Mirroring the lyrics in approach, the band taps into a playful psychedelia with dense, hypnotizing instrumentation. Synths contract and swell punctuated by bleeps, bloops, and spaced-out effects beautifully articulated by Kember's production. A step into darker territory, "Come About" shows the band's breadth of range with Laborde's voice soaring over a driving downtempo rhythm, pleading for love and dedication to be taken and received, with a haunting effect.

'Kids Talk Sun' was recorded near the sea and wilderness outside of Lisbon, with the band shifting back and forth from the natural world to the studio. The result is an ecosystem of complex, ever-evolving sounds working together, with generosity given to the process itself; the biomimicry of plants, insects, the sun and moon, earth, seasons, and cycles gorgeously reimagined in sonic form. There is a sense of multiplicity, a reassurance on change deeply rooted in transformation, on things disintegrating, decomposing, and something new coming to ground us, arms open, and ready for hope.
